Israeli Parliament approves reappointment of far-right Ben-Gvir as National Security Minister
The Israeli Parliament has approved the reappointment of far-right Jewish Power Party leader Itamar Ben-Gvir as National Security Minister, who returned to the government following the resumption of attacks on Gaza.

According to a report by Israel's state broadcaster KAN, a vote was held regarding the reappointment of Ben-Gvir as National Security Minister.
The report stated that 65 Israeli lawmakers voted in favor of the decision, while 46 voted against it, confirming that Ben-Gvir's reappointment as National Security Minister was approved.
The report noted that Ben-Gvir took the oath of office and rejoined the Israeli government.
With the vote held in the Israeli Parliament, along with Jewish Power Party leader Ben-Gvir, Yitzhak Wasserlauf returned to the Ministry of Negev and Galilee Development, and Amichai Eliyahu returned to the Ministry of Heritage.
The Israeli cabinet had approved the reappointment of far-right Jewish Power Party leader Itamar Ben-Gvir as National Security Minister on the evening of Tuesday, March 18.
HE HAD RESIGNED
Far-right Ben-Gvir had frequently emphasized his opposition to a ceasefire and hostage exchange deal in Gaza, and announced his resignation from the government along with ministers from the Jewish Power Party on January 19, when the agreement went into effect.
Following Israel's violation of the ceasefire and the resumption of attacks on the Gaza Strip, Ben-Gvir made a statement on his social media platform X account, expressing his satisfaction with the start of the attacks.
In a joint statement issued yesterday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party and Itamar Ben-Gvir's Jewish Power Party, it was announced that an agreement had been reached for Ben-Gvir and his party to return to the government.
