Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in the US

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in the US for an official visit. Beginning his meetings in the capital, Washington, D.C., Netanyahu met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at Blair House, the official state guest house located across from the White House. Images shared by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office showed that US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee also attended the meeting.

As part of his itinerary, Netanyahu is expected to meet with US President Trump at the White House. It is anticipated that the meeting will address the recent indirect talks held between the US and Iran in Oman, and that Netanyahu will call for the expansion of dialogue with Iran. The Trump-Netanyahu meeting is expected to be held behind closed doors.

This visit marks the seventh meeting between the two leaders since Trump assumed the presidency for the second time.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in 2024 for war crimes committed in the Gaza Strip. Despite this warrant, Netanyahu has previously visited the US, which is not a member of the ICC.
