An extreme-right Israeli group has posted online 'settlement' advertisements for the homes and lands of people living in southern Lebanon.

Israel's preparations for a ground offensive into Lebanon are nearing completion. Israel had called on approximately 200,000 people living south of the Litani River to 'leave the region immediately.' Most recently, an extreme-right Israeli group has advertised for Israelis to settle in the area.
The group, calling itself the 'South Lebanon Settlement Movement,' shared an advertisement on Telegram featuring photos of a modern house and an Israeli family wearing military uniforms.
The group's messages came following statements that the Israeli army could launch a ground operation into southern Lebanon.
While the advertisement provided details of an imaginary house, it was claimed that the region would be given a new Hebrew name.

THEY WANT THE 'PROMISED LAND'
The group views southern Lebanon as the historical territory of the Asher and Naphtali tribes mentioned in the Torah and describes it as the promised land.
The statements in the advertisement text published by the Israeli group are as follows:
'Time to buy a house in Lebanon! After the elimination of the Hezbollah leadership, including Nasrallah, and the magnificent pager attack, are you also dreaming of a large house, a snowy mountain view, and a warm home in the heritage of our ancestors, the children of the tribes of Asher and Naphtali? We are only one strategic decision away from this dream: to continue crushing southern Lebanon and not allow its residents to return! Help make this happen, join us!'
While Lebanon has been subjected to Israeli airstrikes for a week, hundreds of people have died so far, and thousands have been forced to leave the region.
