According to the results of an international survey conducted by human resources company SD Worx, Belgians stood out as the most loyal employees among 18 countries. Last year, 8 percent of Belgians were considering changing jobs.
Jan Vanthournout from SD Worx stated that Belgium is the country with the least interest in changing jobs, noting that this loyalty stems from the job security provided by permanent contracts and salary increases that come with seniority.
In other countries, employees may have higher motivations to change jobs due to more precarious conditions.
Nineteen percent of Belgian employees stated that while they are not actively searching, they are open to changing jobs.
This rate is lower among Austrians and Germans, at 11 percent and 14 percent, respectively.
