One person lost their life and 5 people were injured as a result of an armed attack on a wedding hall in France.
According to reports in the national press citing police sources, a vehicle carrying armed and masked attackers arrived in front of a wedding hall where approximately 100 people were present in the city of Thionville, on the border of France and Luxembourg.
The attackers opened fire on the guests in front of the hall and fled the scene before emergency medical teams could reach the area.
A person in their 30s who was injured during the attack lost their life while being transported to the hospital. Three of the 5 injured individuals remain in critical condition.
According to a report by BFMTV citing police sources, it has been revealed that the wedding attacked around 01:00 last night in the city of Thionville, located in eastern France, belonged to the Turkish community.
