Kamala Harris assesses Israel's attack on Lebanon

In her statement to reporters regarding the targeted strike carried out by Israel in Beirut, Harris said she wanted to be very clear that "Israel has the right to defend itself."

"I SUPPORT ISRAEL'S RIGHT TO DEFENSE"

Harris said, "The Israeli military stated that it targeted a Hezbollah commander it believes is responsible for the attack that killed 12 children and teenagers in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday." 

Hezbollah, however, has denied any involvement in this incident. I absolutely support Israel's right to remain safe and to defend its security. It has the right to defend itself against a terrorist organization, and that is exactly what Hezbollah is. We need to work on a diplomatic solution to end these attacks," she said.
