Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has clarified the conditions under which Russian President Vladimir Putin would meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Peskov stated that Putin could meet with Zelensky only to finalize agreements that would end the conflict.
Peskov said, "The main issue is the purpose of this meeting. Why should they meet? Putin has expressed that he is ready to meet at any time in Moscow. What is important is to have a justification for the meeting and for the meeting to be productive. This can only happen for the purpose of finalizing agreements."
Peskov also noted that Ukraine has not demonstrated any political will to resolve the conflict.
