The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iran's Ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Totounji, to the ministry regarding the matter and issued a protest note.

In a statement issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the act in question was strongly condemned, and Iran was demanded to cease such actions immediately and unconditionally.

The statement emphasized that this act was a clear violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and characterized it as an action contrary to international law and the UN Charter.

The statement also emphasized that Kuwait reserves the right to self-defense.
