Lebanese airlines increase flight frequency following ceasefire
Lebanese airline Middle East Airlines (MEA) has decided to increase its flight frequency following the ceasefire agreement reached with Israel.

In a written statement, MEA announced that it would increase the number of its flights starting Thursday and that the flight schedule would return to normal hours as of December 12.
It was noted that the company will operate 32 additional flights between November 28 and December 3, and the number of flight destinations will exceed 30.
Controlled clashes that began between Israel and Hezbollah on October 8, 2023, caused the suspension of flights at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport on many occasions.
However, since September 23, when Israel began heavy bombardment of many regions of the country, especially the capital Beirut, all airlines except Lebanon's flag carrier Middle East Airlines suspended their flights to Beirut.
While Israel's attacks continue, the airport in Beirut, over which reconnaissance flights are constantly conducted, serves a limited number of daily scheduled flights as well as some cargo planes carrying humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
