Lionel Dahmer, the father of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, known as the Milwaukee Monster, has passed away at the age of 87. Lionel Dahmer died at a palliative care facility in Medina, Ohio, and his cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Born in 1936 in West Allis, Wisconsin, Lionel Dahmer lived a life filled with scandal following the horrific murders committed by his son Jeffrey in 1991. After his son confessed to murdering 17 young men, Lionel Dahmer continued to show unconditional love for his serial killer son.

A chemist by profession, Lionel had a troubled marriage with his wife Joyce Flint. When the couple divorced in 1978, their son Jeffrey Dahmer was left alone and unsupervised in the family home. It was during this period that the murders began.

Father Dahmer continued to defend his son in the public eye throughout his life. He attributed his son's actions to mental illness and a troubled upbringing.

In 1994, he chronicled his experiences in a book titled A Father's Story. He continued to visit his son Jeffrey in prison until he was killed in 1994.

With the death of Father Dahmer nearly 30 years after his son's death, the family linked to one of the darkest periods in U.S. criminal history has all but faded into history.

HIS IDENTITY IS UNKNOWN

However, there is one more Dahmer still alive. Jeffrey's younger brother, David Dahmer, is still living. However, he has changed his name and where he lives. For this reason, no one knows who he is or what he looks like.
