French President Emmanuel Macron made a statement following a National Security Council meeting held on the Israel-Iran agenda.
Macron called on Israel to immediately cease attacks on targets unrelated to nuclear activities or ballistic missiles.
Macron stated, "It is concerning that Israeli strikes are increasingly hitting targets that have no connection to Iran's nuclear/ballistic program, and that civilian casualties are rising in both countries.
It is imperative that these military operations, which seriously threaten regional security, be stopped immediately."
Macron also instructed Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot to work with close European partners on a "rigorous negotiated solution" to end the Iran-Israel conflicts.
