Speaking as a guest on a joint program by French channels BFMTV and RMC, 100 days before the Olympic Games to be held in the capital Paris, Macron evaluated the international sports organization and developments in the Middle East.
Addressing Iran's attack on Israel this weekend, Macron argued that Tehran gave a "disproportionate" response to the attack carried out by Israel on its consulate in Damascus on April 1.
The French President said, "This is a victory for Israel because they managed to stop almost all of the missiles and drones."
Macron stated that at Jordan's request over the weekend, they shot down drones coming from Iran in the country's airspace using their own aircraft.
Reminding that France has a military base in Jordan, Macron said that Jordanian airspace had been violated.
