Major earthquake in Taiwan
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake has struck the city of Hualien in eastern Taiwan.

Taiwan has been shaken once again following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred on April 3. The magnitude of the earthquake, which was centered in the city of Hualien, was announced as 6.1.
The tremor, which occurred at 02:21 local time, was also felt in the capital Taipei and surrounding provinces, but no official statement has yet been made regarding loss of life or property.
At least 17 people lost their lives and more than a thousand were injured in the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Hualien on April 3.
