In the vote held in the US House of Representatives, 221 Republican representatives voted "yes," while 212 Democrats voted "no."

With this vote, the impeachment process that Republicans have been conducting against Joe Biden for some time, based on allegations that he provided advantages to his son Hunter Biden in his business dealings, has become official.

"COMPLETELY POLITICAL AND BASELESS"

Making a statement on the matter following the vote in the House of Representatives, Biden argued that the process has been completely political and baseless from the very beginning.

While the impeachment inquiry to be conducted by the House of Representatives is expected to continue throughout 2024, the year the presidential elections will be held, predictions that it could evolve into a political process against the Democratic presidential candidate are also being reflected in the American media.

Republicans in Congress, on the other hand, argue that the ties between Biden and his son Hunter Biden's business dealings must be investigated.

The impeachment inquiry into US President Biden is expected to be one of the most important topics of debate in the presidential race.

If Biden is charged with impeachment as a result of the investigation in the House of Representatives, the vote to be held in the Senate will determine the fate of the Democratic president.

DONALD TRUMP WAS ACQUITTED IN SENATE VOTES

Former US President Donald Trump was impeached twice by the House of Representatives during his term between 2016-2020, but was acquitted in the votes in the Senate.
