The Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the Iranian Judiciary, announced that the individual was tried on charges of "spreading corruption on earth" as part of an investigation launched in 2018.

The report stated that in the investigation launched following complaints from women in 2018, it was determined that Kandelec rode a motorcycle through various districts of Tehran with his face covered by a mask, harassed and attacked a total of 59 women with a sharp object, and then fled the scene.

It was stated that following the verdict, the defendant appealed the death sentence and requested a retrial, but the Iranian Supreme Court rejected this request and upheld the sentence.

The statement reported that Kandelec was executed in the morning hours.
