Many people lose their lives in amusement park fire in India

According to a report by The Times of India newspaper, a statement issued by the police noted that a fire broke out at an amusement park in the city of Rajkot in the state.

The statement indicated that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but according to initial findings, 20 people have lost their lives.

Stating that there could be more casualties, the announcement reported that rescue efforts are ongoing.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated in a post on his X social media account that the local administration is assisting those affected by the fire and that he is deeply saddened.

State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also announced that a special team has been assigned to investigate the incident.
