Melania reveals why she fell in love with Donald Trump

54-year-old former first lady Melania Trump shared why she fell in love with former president Donald Trump in a video with her 2.8 million followers on X. "From the moment Donald and I met, there was an undeniable spark between us," Melania said, adding that there was something magnetic about the former president's confidence, charm, humor, and vision.

She described their wedding as a 'beautiful event' with a 'breathtaking wedding dress, a menu perfectly curated by a celebrity chef, and mesmerizing live performances by music legends.' The video clip featured footage from that grand day, showing the couple embracing while dancing and Melania wearing her iconic Christian Dior wedding gown. The clip ended with a shot of Melania's self-titled memoir.

This glowing post about her husband came just days after Melania defended abortion rights, contrary to her husband's stance. In a video posted on X, Melania said, 'Individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard.'

The video followed The Guardian obtaining an early copy of a speech last week in which Melania detailed how her views on abortion differ from those of her husband, the Republican candidate. The former First Lady writes in her book:

'POLITICAL DISAGREEMENTS ARE PART OF THE RELATIONSHIP'

'It is imperative to guarantee that women have the autonomy to decide their preference of having children based on their own convictions, without any intervention or pressure from the government. Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman's fundamental right of individual liberty, for her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.'

In her book, where she describes the political disagreements she occasionally has with Donald Trump as 'part of their relationship,' Melania writes that she believes in addressing these issues privately rather than challenging her husband publicly. Later in the book, she explains why she supports abortion. In an interview with Fox News, Donald Trump revealed that he had spoken with his wife about the book and told her she should follow her heart.
