US President Donald Trump made assessments regarding his expectation of "unconditional surrender" for Iran in an interview with Axios. Trump said that this expression could encompass not only an official declaration of surrender but also the point where Iran is no longer able to fight militarily.

"UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER CAN TAKE DIFFERENT FORMS"

In his comment regarding Iran's unconditional surrender, Trump expressed that this does not only mean a political decision.

Trump stated, "Unconditional surrender could be the Iranians declaring it. But it could also mean that they are no longer able to fight because they have no one or nothing left."

HE HAD SAID "NO DEAL OTHER THAN UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER"

Trump had previously taken a tough stance regarding a possible deal with Iran in a post on his social media account.

Trump had used the following expressions: "There will be no deal with Iran other than unconditional surrender. Afterwards, following the election of one or more great and acceptable leaders, we and our many great allies and partners will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, to make it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. Iran will have a great future."
