According to the report in BirGün, Putin made a brief statement regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict after the meeting, saying, "It is wrong to punish innocent women, children, and the elderly in Gaza for crimes committed by others."

Stating that their current priority is to stop the conflict, Putin spoke as follows:

"Our task today is to stop the bloodshed and violence. Otherwise, further escalation of the crisis will lead to extremely dangerous and destructive consequences. This is not only true for the Middle East. It could spill far beyond the borders of the region."
