US President Donald Trump stated in a post on his social media account that Iran's highest bridge had been destroyed and could no longer be used, adding, "More to come. It is time for Iran to make a deal before it is too late. Otherwise, there will be nothing left of this country."
STERN REACTION FROM IRAN: "WE WILL NOT SURRENDER"
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi gave a stern response to the US attack in a statement following the incident. Stating that targeting civilian infrastructure would not force Iran to surrender, Araghchi said, "Targeting civilian structures like unfinished bridges will not force Iranians to surrender." Araghchi also stated that the destroyed structures would be rebuilt even stronger. He further added that the US is damaging its international reputation with these attacks.
