Mind-boggling incident: This is a dowry murder!
In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a woman was burned to death by her husband because she could not meet his dowry demands. While the husband, Vipin Bhati, was taken into custody, he showed no remorse for the horrific incident, stating, "There are fights in every marriage."

26-year-old Nikki Payla, who lived in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, was subjected to constant violence by her husband, Vipin Bhati, and his family from the day she was married. According to her family's statement, the young woman had been under heavy pressure regarding dowry since her marriage in 2016.
The Bhati family demanded a Scorpio SUV, a Royal Enfield motorcycle, and gold jewelry from Payla and her sister, who had also married into the same family. The demands did not end there; the family later requested 3.6 million rupees (approximately 1.6 million TL) in cash and a luxury car.
HE SET HIS WIFE ON FIRE
Because the dowry demands were not met, Vipin Bhati set his wife on fire on Thursday. The young woman was rushed to a private hospital with severe burns and was subsequently set to be transferred to Safdarjung Hospital in the capital, Delhi. However, she lost her life in the ambulance.
FAMILY MEMBERS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
The incident came to light following a report made to the police by the hospital. The husband, Vipin Bhati, who attempted to flee, was captured by police on Sunday after being shot in the leg. His mother was also taken into custody on allegations of complicity in the torture.
As part of the investigation, the father, Setya Veer, and the brother, Rohit Bhati, were also arrested.
Payla's sister, Kanchan, had previously recorded the violence she experienced and shared it on social media. These images are now being examined by the police as evidence.

In his statement, Vipin Bhati denied the crime, claiming that his wife had "set herself on fire." Stating, "It is normal for me to fight with my wife; it happens in every marriage," Bhati indicated that he felt no remorse.
