Minister Fidan in China: Met with CCP official

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan's diplomatic contacts in China continue.

In a post on the ministry's X social media account, it was stated that Fidan met with Chen, the Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Political and Legal Affairs Commission, in Beijing.

In Beijing, Fidan will meet with his counterpart Wang Yi, as well as Vice President Han Zheng and CPC Politburo member Chen Wenqing.

Fidan, who will visit Urumqi and Kashgar tomorrow, will be the highest-ranking Turkish official to visit the region since 2012.

It is noted that Hakan Fidan will be protested by Uyghur associations during his visit to the region. While leaflets to this effect are being distributed in the region, Minister Fidan's statement is also awaited with interest.
