Musk, a prominent American businessman and supporter of Trump, claimed that the Tesla pickup truck that caught fire in front of the "Trump International" hotel in Las Vegas had been exploded, stating, "There is a possibility that this is an act of terrorism."
Musk noted that both the Tesla pickup truck that caught fire in front of the hotel and the vehicle used in the attack in New Orleans were rented from the car-sharing platform "Turo," adding, "Perhaps there is a connection."
