NASA project delayed
NASA has announced that the crewed moon landing for the Artemis Mission, which aims to send astronauts to the Moon for scientific research, has been postponed to 2026.

In a written statement from NASA, it was noted that there were safety concerns regarding the spacecraft, as well as issues related to the astronauts' suits and landing vehicles.
The statement provided information that, in this context, the astronauts' moon landing has been postponed to September 2026. Emphasizing that the primary reason for the change in the project's timeline is "crew safety," the statement expressed that teams are meticulously addressing all challenges.
NASA Administrator Bill Nelson stated, "Safety is our top priority." Nelson noted that these delays will give the Artemis teams more time to overcome the challenges.
Within the context of the Artemis Mission, it is planned to send 4 astronauts to the Moon to conduct scientific research. Under the same program, the U.S. envisions establishing a permanent base on the Moon and using the Moon both as a stopover for travel to Mars and for the extraction of valuable minerals there.
