NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized that Israel's attacks on Iran were a "unilateral action" and called on all allies, especially the US, to de-escalate tensions.

Rutte made his remarks regarding Israel's attack on Iran during a joint press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

'Clearly, this is a rapidly developing situation. This was Israel's unilateral action,' Rutte said, continuing as follows:

'I think it is vital that many allies, including the US, are working to de-escalate. I also know that they are doing so.'
