Netanyahu: I aim to achieve peace with more Arab countries

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech to parliament that he wants to sign peace agreements with more Arab countries.

Netanyahu said, "We are working on plans to stabilize these two fronts on the day after Hamas no longer controls Gaza and Hezbollah no longer exists on our northern border.

However, there is something else very important for the day after. I aim to continue the process I led a few years ago with the signing of the historic Abraham Accords and to achieve peace with more Arab countries. These countries and others clearly see the blows we have dealt to those who attack us, to Iran's axis of evil. They, like us, desire a stable, secure, and prosperous Middle East."

Israel normalized relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan within the framework of the Abraham Accords, which were signed in 2020 with US mediation. While Israel, with the support of the US, is trying to sign similar agreements with other countries, primarily Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia has announced that it will not recognize Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state.
