Netanyahu announces Turkish soldiers will not be in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference in Jerusalem.

Speaking about the current situation in the Gaza Strip and the second phase of the ceasefire in the region, Netanyahu said, "We have two tasks we are focused on now: neutralizing Hamas's weapons and clearing Gaza of weapons and tunnels. As I agreed with President Trump, there are only two possibilities: Either this will be done the easy way or the hard way, but in any case, it will be done. Now there is talk that we will allow the reconstruction of Gaza without disarmament. That will not happen."

Stating that the Rafah Border Crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt will soon be opened in both directions, Benjamin Netanyahu said, "We will not prevent anyone from leaving. There will not be open access. People will leave, people will enter. It will be checked in detail by Israel."

The Israeli prime minister stated that he did not know exactly how many pedestrians would be allowed to enter daily, using the estimate of "50 people plus family members."

"ISRAEL WILL MAINTAIN SECURITY CONTROL OVER THE ENTIRE REGION"

Regarding the establishment of a Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital, Netanyahu included the remarks, "Israel will maintain security control over the entire region from the Jordan River to the sea. This also applies to the Gaza Strip."

Stating that Qatar and Turkey will not be part of the International Stabilization Force to be established as part of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said, "It is being said that we will bring Turkish and Qatari soldiers to Gaza. That will not happen either."

The Israeli prime minister stated that he was not satisfied with the structure of the Palestinian technocratic committee responsible for the daily administration of Gaza, emphasizing that they are monitoring the committee.

"IF IRAN MAKES THE SERIOUS MISTAKE OF ATTACKING ISRAEL..."

Noting that any attack by Iran on Israel following a potential US attack would face a harsh response, Netanyahu said, "The Iranian axis is trying to recover, but we will not allow it. If Iran makes the serious mistake of attacking Israel, we will respond with a force it has never seen before. The US is in constant communication with us. I do not want to say what President Trump will or will not do."

"URICH DID NOT SAY A SINGLE WORD TO ME ABOUT QATAR"

Responding to allegations that Israeli Prime Minister's Advisor Yonatan Urich received money from Qatar to conduct a PR campaign for Doha, Netanyahu said, "Yonatan Urich did not say a single word to me about Qatar. But I spoke about Qatar. I criticized Qatar during the war. I attacked them verbally because I had harsh criticisms. And in fact, I also attacked Qatari territory. I don't know what happened with Yonatan Urich, but I know what the judge said."

When asked whether he would take responsibility for the events of October 7, 2023, Netanyahu replied, "Everyone will take their responsibility."
