Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a joint statement regarding the attack on a Hamas delegation in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Netanyahu and Katz stated that they had instructed Israeli security agencies to prepare for an attack on Hamas leaders abroad following the deaths of 6 people in an attack in Jerusalem yesterday and 4 soldiers in an attack in Gaza.

The statement, which noted that Katz fully supported this decision, reported that Netanyahu and Katz approved the attack on the Hamas delegation in Doha after an "operational opportunity" was identified around noon.

In the statement, it was argued that Netanyahu and Katz "believe the Doha attack was a justified strike because Hamas was behind the October 7 events and the armed attack carried out in Jerusalem yesterday."

Meanwhile, it had been reported that the Hamas delegation survived the Doha attack.
