A statement from Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged today following the prostate surgery he underwent on December 29. The statement noted, "There is a recovery process ahead."
Meanwhile, 75-year-old Netanyahu had briefly left the hospital on Tuesday to vote on a tax bill submitted to the Israeli Parliament. Netanyahu has undergone multiple medical procedures in recent years. Having had hernia surgery in March, Netanyahu was fitted with a pacemaker in July 2023 following a diagnosis of heart rhythm disorder.
Most recently, an infection caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia was detected in Netanyahu's urinary tract.
