Netanyahu: Iran's trillion-dollar investment has gone to waste

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made statements regarding the war with Iran. Netanyahu said that Iran has spent nearly a trillion dollars over the years on nuclear programs, ballistic missile development, and arming its proxy forces, and that this money has gone to waste.

Comparing the struggle against Iran and its regional allies—which he described as an "axis of evil"—to the struggle of the Israelites against Pharaoh during the Exodus from Egypt, Netanyahu listed the "10 plagues" he likened to divine punishment as blows against Hamas, Hezbollah, Assad in Syria, organizations in the West Bank, the Houthis in Yemen, and Iran's nuclear program, missiles, regime infrastructure, security forces, and senior leadership.

"We are building new alliances in the region against the Iranian threat"

Stating that Israel was previously alone against Iran and that the world did not heed Israel's warnings, Netanyahu said that today they are building new alliances and fighting alongside the U.S. against Iran. Netanyahu said, "We have not only strengthened our alliance with the U.S., but we are also building new alliances in the region against the Iranian threat. I hope to be able to tell you more about these important alliances soon."

"This regime will fall, sooner or later"

Claiming that the Iranian administration has been shaken to its foundations by the war, Netanyahu said, "We have shaken the regime, and this regime will fall, sooner or later."

Netanyahu said, "We have built deep security belts beyond our borders. We have created a wide buffer zone in the Gaza Strip covering more than half of that territory, from Mount Hermon to the Yarmouk in Syria, and in Lebanon, which prevents infiltration threats and pushes back the danger of anti-tank fire against our settlements."

Arguing that Israel's air defense system has proven to be the best in the world, Netanyahu said, "Many countries are turning to us because they know we are number one in air defense."
