Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement regarding the attacks Israel launched against Iran on June 13. In an interview with the Israeli press, Netanyahu said, "Israel is ahead of the set schedule in terms of both timing and results."
Netanyahu explained that he decided on the operation at a time when it was evident that Iran was "rapidly advancing toward nuclear capability." The Israeli Prime Minister described the operations as "an extraordinary effort."
Arguing that the killing of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah disrupted Iran's axis, Netanyahu said, "What is left of Iran? This operation had been planned for months."
Claiming that Israel has destroyed more than half of Iran's missile systems, the Israeli Prime Minister said, "We are attacking the launch pads. What matters is not how many rockets they have, but how many launch pads they have. We are almost reaching our goal. I think we have destroyed more than half of their pads."
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in an assessment made yesterday, had reported that Israel had destroyed up to 40 percent of Iran's launch pads.
