Netanyahu protests continue in Israel

In Israel,where calls are being made to sign an agreement for the return of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip, the protests held every Saturday against the Netanyahu government continued with high participation this week as well.

Tens of thousands of people who joined anti-government groups criticized the political leadership's indifference toward ending the attacks on Gaza and bringing back the hostages, reiterating their demands for the resignation of the "most right-wing government" in the country's history and for early elections.

The center of the protests was the capital, where tens of thousands of Israelis gathered in the evening hours. Thousands of protesters carrying Israeli flags held banners, posters, and placards against Prime Minister Netanyahu and the politicians in his government, while speeches criticizing the government were delivered from a platform set up on the street.

Relatives of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip also directed their criticisms at Netanyahu and the government he leads in front of the nearby Ministry of Defense.

Protesters, who beat drums and blew whistles while calling for the hostages to return home as soon as possible, carried signs reading "Bring them home now!" and "Help!" and chanted slogans blaming Netanyahu. The demonstrators shouted, "(Netanyahu) Bibi, release the hostages!"
