Netanyahu: You cannot pressure us to end the war

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again rejected growing global pressure to end the war in Gaza, where nearly 18 thousand Palestinians have been killed. Netanyahu argued that "ending the war would prevent the elimination of Hamas."

"YOU CANNOT PRESSURE US"

The Israeli prime minister said that in his meeting with the War Cabinet, he told the leaders of France, Germany, and other countries: "You cannot support the elimination of Hamas on one hand and then pressure us to end the war on the other; this prevents the elimination of Hamas."

UN SECRETARY-GENERAL: I WILL NOT GIVE UP

Simultaneous with Netanyahu's statement, calls for a ceasefire in Israel rose from the Doha Forum held in the capital of Qatar. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres criticized the rejection of the ceasefire call at the UN Security Council due to the US veto in his speech there.

Stating that he would not give up on calling for a humanitarian ceasefire and that the war was damaging the credibility and authority of the Security Council, the Secretary-General said, "I had requested the Security Council to exert pressure to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe and for my call for a humanitarian ceasefire to be declared. Unfortunately, the Security Council failed to do so. I will not give up."

WARNING FROM QATAR: 'AN ENTIRE GENERATION WILL BE RADICALIZED'

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani also warned in his speech at the forum that "an entire generation in the Middle East is at risk of radicalization" due to the war in Gaza.

PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY DEMANDS SANCTIONS ON ISRAEL

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh called for sanctions against Israel. Stating, "Israel must not be allowed to continue violating international law. Our main concern is not the day after. It is today. We want the current atrocities and genocide to stop," Shtayyeh also said that the US should be held responsible for the deaths of Palestinians.

JORDAN ALSO WARNS OF 'HATRED'

Speaking at the forum, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said that Israel is pursuing a systematic policy to expel Palestinians from Gaza. Safadi also issued a warning about future generations, saying that "Israel is creating a hatred that will affect and define the region for generations to come."

10 CIVILIANS KILLED IN KHAN YUNIS

It is reported that 10 civilians were killed and dozens were injured as a result of Israel bombing a house in Khan Yunis and its surroundings, where it has intensified its attacks in recent days in the south of Gaza, a place where tens of thousands of Palestinians who fled from the north have taken refuge.
