Netanyahu's Cairo visit denied
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's spokesperson, Omer Dostri, has denied reports that Netanyahu would travel to the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The Prime Minister's Office announced that Netanyahu visited Mount Hermon.

Following reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would travel to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, for ceasefire and hostage deal negotiations in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu's spokesperson, Omer Dostri, issued a statement.
Dostri denied the reports that Netanyahu would go to Cairo, stating, "Contrary to rumors, Prime Minister Netanyahu is not in Cairo."
An unnamed Arab diplomat also denied Netanyahu's visit to Cairo.
In a statement released by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, it was stated that Netanyahu visited Mount Hermon, adding, "He reviewed the Israeli army's preparations on the ground and determined the orders for the next phase."
The Israeli press reported that Netanyahu visited the Syrian side of Mount Hermon. Israel had occupied the Syrian side of the mountain following the fall of the Assad regime.
