New leader in Indonesia: Prabowo Subianto!
Former general and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto has become Indonesia's new president according to unofficial results.

According to unofficial results of the elections held in Indonesia, the new president is Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. Indonesians went to the polls today to determine the president, members of parliament, and local representatives.
Following the closing of polls at 1:00 PM local time, with 90 percent of the votes counted in the country, the new president who will succeed Joko Widodo has been determined. According to unofficial results, the 72-year-old incumbent former general and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto has become the country's new leader by receiving at least 58.5 percent of the votes.
Subianto's rivals, two former governors Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo, lost the race by receiving approximately 25 percent and 17 percent of the votes, respectively.
Delivering a victory speech at a sports complex in the capital Jakarta, Subianto said, "This is the victory of all the people of Indonesia. However, I want to say this: Even though we have won, we must not be arrogant, we must remain humble. I will embrace all parties. It will be our responsibility to protect all the people of Indonesia, regardless of their tribes, ethnic groups, races, religions, or social backgrounds."
Subianto expressed his satisfaction with the quick election results but stated that the official results to be announced by the National Election Commission in March should be awaited.
