Iran has made a new proposal to the US aimed at resolving the crisis in the Middle East. Iran has sent a new proposal to the US to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the war, on the condition that negotiations regarding its nuclear program be held at a future date.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the new proposal, stating that US President Donald Trump discussed Iran's offer with his senior national security advisors today.

Leavitt said, "I can confirm that the President met with his national security team this morning.

The meeting may or may not still be ongoing. The proposal was being discussed. The President's red lines regarding Iran have been laid out very clearly."

Regarding the Iranian proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for ending the US blockade, Leavitt said, "I cannot say that they are evaluating it. I can say that there is a discussion."
