New route implementation for commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has provided an updated assessment regarding the maritime blockade implemented in the Strait of Hormuz. Emphasizing the U.S.'s determination in the blockade process against Iran, the statement reported that new routes have been determined for 49 vessels as a result of operations carried out since April 13.

In the information shared by CENTCOM via social media, it was stated that the relevant maritime blockade is being maintained in its entirety. Furthermore, it was noted that CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper visited an American warship in the region and held meetings with command personnel regarding the implementation of the blockade.

The statement included the following: "As of today, 49 commercial vessels have been directed to different routes to comply with the blockade. U.S. forces remain committed to the full implementation of the blockade."

The effects of the maritime blockade, which was implemented in recent weeks and targets Iranian maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, on international trade are being closely monitored. The U.S. stated that with these steps, they will continue their operations to ensure security in the region and maintain the stability of their own policy.
