New statement from Trump regarding the deadline given to Iran

US President Donald Trump has made a new statement regarding Iran. Responding to questions from journalists at the White House, Trump said, "If I had the choice, I would want to seize the oil. Unfortunately, the American people want us to return home."

Maintaining his claim of regime change, Trump said, "We think the new regime in Iran is much smarter than the previous ones. A full regime change has taken place." Donald Trump also noted that he had extended the deadline he gave to Iran, pointing to Tuesday as the final date.

Stating that they had 'sent weapons,' Trump said, "We sent some weapons, they were supposed to reach the Iranian people. Do you know what happened? The people who were supposed to distribute the weapons kept them for themselves. I am very angry at some people, and they will pay a heavy price for this," and added the following:

"They need to do certain things, and they know it. We have experienced a full-blown regime change. You know, the people there right now are much more reasonable compared to the crazy people who were there in the first and second phases. Call it whatever you want, I call it regime change," he said.

Stating that the third group the US is dealing with is not as radical, Trump said, "We think the new regime in Iran is much smarter than the previous ones. A full regime change has taken place."

Asked about his profane statement on social media

When asked by a reporter how he could use such crude language, referring to his profanity on social media in the context of threats to open the Strait of Hormuz to the Iranian administration, Trump said, "I'm just trying to emphasize what I want to convey. I'm sure you've heard these before."

He labeled anti-war Americans as "stupid"

Commenting on a question regarding his message to Americans who do not look favorably upon the war, Trump said, "They are stupid. Because this war has only one purpose: for Iran not to possess nuclear weapons. If we hadn't broken the deal that Barack Obama made, that is, the nuclear deal with Iran, which was made years ago during my first term, Israel would have been completely destroyed and wiped out by now. Israel would have been wiped off the face of the earth, and the Middle East would be in a major catastrophe, to put it mildly. But I did it. This was the first phase. We killed (Iranian commander Qasem) Soleimani. If Soleimani were alive, the situation would be completely different. We would still be winning, but it would be harder. We are devastating Iran. I don't want to do this, but we are devastating it," he said.

Stating that Iran does not want to give up but will have to, Trump said, "If they don't give up, they won't have bridges, power plants, or anything. I won't continue to list these because there are worse things than these."

Citing Venezuela as an example regarding the seizure of Iranian oil, Trump said, "This worked incredibly well in Venezuela. There are currently 100 million barrels of oil being refined in Houston. It was great. Our relations with Venezuela, our relations with the leaders were excellent. I think we will have a very good long-term relationship. It might even be beyond long-term. You know what I mean."

He argued that MAGA voters support the war

Arguing that the voters who support the goal of prioritizing America's interests in politics, summarized by Trump's "Make America Great Again (MAGA)" slogan in his election campaign ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election in the US, support the war with Iran, Trump said, "The MAGA base loves what I'm doing, and CNN conducted a large and very important poll among MAGA voters. The result was seen as one hundred percent support."

Trump said, "They support what we are doing, but they also want to see this end and for us to return. Remember, war lasts for years. Stating "Tuesday is the deadline for Iran," Trump, when asked whether it is possible to extend the deadline given to Iran again, said, "Not very likely. They had enough time. They even asked for seven days. And I said, 'I will give you 10 days.' But if they can't do it at the end of 10 days, all hell will break loose."

Stating that Iran is seeking a ceasefire because it has been "devastated" but that the opportunities given to Iran to end the war have not been used, Trump said, "I am the only one who will declare a ceasefire. I have not declared any ceasefire."

Trump said that the real war crime would be Iran obtaining nuclear weapons and that this would not be allowed.
