No verdict in Assange 'extradition case'
It has been announced that the verdict in the case regarding the extradition of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is being held in the UK, to the US will be delivered at a later date.

The second hearing of the case regarding the extradition of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is being held in the UK, to the US—following his publication of numerous classified documents concerning crimes committed by the US in Iraq and Afghanistan—was held at the High Court in London.
Due to health issues, Assange did not attend the hearing today, just as he did not yesterday. While lawyers representing the US, which accuses Assange of espionage, argued that the request for Assange's extradition is based on the rule of law and evidence, Assange's defense team stated that the extradition case to the US is politically motivated and that Assange is being targeted for exposing state-level crimes to the public.
In her statement during the hearing, Judge Victoria Sharp announced that the decision regarding Assange's extradition to the US would be delivered at a later date, adding that they would contact the relevant parties if further information is needed.
PROTESTERS MARCHED TO THE PRIME MINISTER'S OFFICE
Following the hearing, a group of protesters marched from the High Court in London to the front of the UK Prime Minister's Office, calling for Assange's release.
Demonstrators opposing Assange's extradition to the US chanted slogans of "Freedom for Assange." Julian Assange's wife, Stella Assange, stated there that her husband's life is in danger, asserting, "If he is extradited to the US, he will be killed. He will be killed by the country that planned his assassination."
HE WAS ARRESTED IN LONDON
The website WikiLeaks, founded by Assange, published documents in 2010 regarding crimes committed by the US in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Assange, whom the US accuses of espionage and seeks to extradite, had taken refuge in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London in 2012.
Assange, who was removed from there and taken into custody in 2019, was arrested and sent to prison for failing to meet bail conditions. While the High Court ruled in 2021 that Assange could be extradited to the US, Assange's lawyers appealed the decision in 2022.
