According to the Tasnim News Agency, Baghaei made statements regarding the issue during his weekly press conference.
Baghaei said, "Threats against a country's peaceful nuclear facilities are a clear violation of United Nations (UN) commitments. In a fair environment, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is expected to intervene in this situation and hold the US accountable for such statements."
The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, in response to a question regarding the problem experienced in the road transport sector with Turkey, said that "the problem is not political."
Speaking about the problems experienced by Iranian truck drivers at the Bazargan Border Gate, Baghaei said, "This issue is not political; it is a technical matter. We are following up to resolve the problem. Both our efforts and Turkey's efforts have been to resolve this issue within the framework of good neighborly relations."
The Iranian official noted that a delegation will travel to Turkey in the coming days as part of the efforts to resolve the issue.
