Kamal Kharrazi, head of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations and chief advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made statements to Lebanese media.

Evaluating Israel's retaliatory strike on Iran's military bases, Kharrazi said, "The response the Israelis gave to our missile attacks was very insignificant.

Air defense systems were also one of the factors that stopped them, and this situation caused serious reactions in Israel. Because their expectations were much higher. Therefore, it is clearly seen that what they did was completely disproportionate."

"IRAN WILL DEFINITELY RESPOND"

Referring to Khamenei's statement that "The Zionist regime made a mistake in its calculations regarding Iran," Kharrazi said, "Iran will definitely respond to Israel at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner. The Israelis' calculations were wrong from the very beginning.

They thought they could destroy Hamas by attacking Gaza, and eliminate Hezbollah by attacking Lebanon. They thought they would weaken the resistance by martyring Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. These were miscalculations, and even within Israel, many people acknowledge these flawed strategies," he said.

Stating that it is impossible to suppress freedom and thought through military intervention, Kharrazi said, "Hamas and Hezbollah continue to grow stronger. Despite the martyrdom of the Hezbollah leader, the resistance continues to exist, and Sheikh Naim Qassem was recently appointed as his successor. He is a figure who has served in Hezbollah for 30 years and is well-versed in the details of the organization. Under his leadership, Hezbollah will continue on its path while maintaining its strength," he stated.

"WE HAVE THE CAPACITY TO PRODUCE NUCLEAR WEAPONS"

Evaluating the issue of Iran potentially changing its nuclear doctrine, Kharrazi said, "If Iran faces an existential threat, it may change its nuclear doctrine. We currently have the capacity to produce nuclear weapons. However, the only obstacle is that the Supreme Leader has currently forbidden this situation," he said.

"WE CAN INCREASE THE RANGE OF OUR MISSILES"

Stating that Iran has proven itself in missile development with the "True Promise 1 and 2" operations, Kharrazi warned that Iran could increase its missile range, saying, "As Iran, we were keeping the range of our missiles limited due to the sensitivities of Westerners and Europeans, but since they do not respect our sensitivities on many issues, especially our country's national sovereignty, we will not take their sensitivities on this matter into account. In this sense, we can increase the range of our missiles," he stated.

"WE ARE READY FOR WAR"

Touching upon the issue of war with Israel, Kharrazi said they are prepared for any scenario, stating, "We are not in favor of the expansion of the war, but we are also ready for war. We have shown our deterrence in our operations against Israel. If the Israelis want to continue this, we will naturally respond," he said.

Addressing the ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Lebanon and Gaza, Kharrazi said, "Iran has no involvement in the ceasefire negotiations. This issue concerns only the Lebanese and the Palestinians. We will support whatever decision they make," he said.
