Pakistan Interior Minister Naqvi meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi
Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who is on an official visit to the Iranian capital Tehran, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi continues his contacts in Tehran, the capital of Iran, where he is on an official visit. As part of his visit, Naqvi met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The meeting addressed the negotiation process between the US and Iran and the steps toward reaching an agreement to end the conflict in the Middle East region. Araghchi thanked Naqvi for the diplomatic initiatives carried out by Pakistan.
The Iranian minister also stated that they have received some positive messages from Washington, but that the deep distrust toward the White House continues to be the biggest obstacle to reaching a final agreement.
The parties also reiterated their determination to keep diplomatic channels open in order to ensure stability in the region.
Naqvi had met with Pezeshkian and Ghalibaf
As part of his contacts in Tehran, Naqvi held a meeting lasting approximately 1.5 hours yesterday with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The Pakistani minister also held a separate meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. According to diplomatic sources, Naqvi and Ghalibaf exchanged views on important issues regarding regional and global developments.
