Palestine awards state medal to Colombian President Petro

The State of Palestine has presented a "state medal" to Colombian President Gustavo Petro for his leadership regarding the Palestinian cause.

At the ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, Casa de Nariño, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki presented the state medal to Petro and thanked him for bringing the injustices faced by Palestine to the attention of the world.

Sharing the state medal on his social media account, Petro stated, "I thank the Palestinian people for deeming me worthy of this medal."

In his speech, Foreign Minister al-Maliki spoke of Petro's efforts to voice the injustices committed against the Palestinian people and his strong reaction to Israel's attacks.
