Palestinian doctor's call to the world: Save us or we will die
Fadia Malhis, an obstetrician at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, Palestine, issued a call to the world, stating, "Let them save us, let them stop this war, or we will die."

Malhis made statements to an AA reporter regarding the situation at Al-Shifa Hospital. Malhis, who could not be reached for a long time, described the current situation during a brief window when phone lines began to work, in a conversation that was frequently interrupted.
''A BABY HAS DIED''
Stating that there is no electricity in the hospital and that the condition of the babies in the intensive care unit incubators has reached a very dangerous level, Malhis said, "There are 60 babies in intensive care, 39 are intubated, and one baby died this afternoon. They will die one after another."
Malhis stated that the Israeli army has surrounded the hospital, adding, "They shoot anyone who wants to leave the hospital. If anyone moves between units, they shoot anyone who moves there too. There are many martyrs in the garden and in front of the emergency room; the situation is very bad and dangerous, it is indescribable."
Stating that there were previously 60,000 people in the hospital (and those who had taken refuge on its campus), Malhis said that Israel has been carrying out intense attacks on the hospital for the last 2 days, and that approximately 17,000 people, including patients, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff, are still in the hospital.
Emphasizing that some people were able to escape from the hospital, while many died on the roads, Malhis said, "It is like a prison without water, electricity, or food. There were more than 100 martyrs in the garden. They also shot those who tried to bury the martyrs in the hospital garden. The hospital garden is full of martyrs. Some tried to escape from the hospital, and they shot them too."
''SAVE US, THE SITUATION IS VERY BAD''
Underlining that Israeli tanks are right in the hospital garden, Malhis made a call to the world:
"There is not even a meter of distance, they are at the door. The Israeli army is around the hospital, they shoot anyone who comes out immediately. They are hitting with warplanes. They have besieged Al-Shifa Hospital. There is no internet connection. Please, let them save us, let them stop this war, or we will die. There are dead everywhere. Save us, the situation is very bad."
