Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki met with the Foreign Minister of the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA), Constantinos Kombos, in Nicosia, the capital of the GCA.
In his statement, al-Maliki noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to prolong the war in the Gaza Strip for his "personal career and future," adding, "It is very clear that he does not care about the lives of innocent people in both Israel and Palestine, the Israeli hostages, or the innocent Palestinians in Gaza."
Stating that Netanyahu's stance must be challenged, al-Maliki said, "It is our shared responsibility to prevent further escalation and prolongation of the war, and to prevent the opening of other fronts in the West Bank or Southern Lebanon."
