ACCIDENT DURING DEMONSTRATION
According to information obtained from officials, the incident occurred minutes before the match between Rice and Texas State began. Of the 5 parachutists scheduled to land in the stadium as part of the demonstration, 3 reached the field without issue, while 1 landed outside the stadium.
CAUGHT IN END-ZONE NETTING
Another parachutist became entangled in the end-zone netting while entering the stadium, hanging in the air for a short time. After the parachute broke free from the netting, the athlete fell uncontrollably, crashing into the stands from a height of approximately 10 meters.
NO INJURIES
In a statement regarding the incident, it was reported that the parachutist survived the accident without serious injury and left the scene on their own. It was also stated that no spectators in the stands were injured.
