A major tragedy occurred on the Dahab-Nuweiba highway in South Sinai when a passenger bus overturned. In the accident, which took place in the morning hours, 16 of the passengers on board lost their lives at the scene, while 28 people were reported to have sustained injuries of varying degrees.
Following the accident, 20 ambulances reached the area quickly, providing initial medical intervention to the injured before transporting them to the nearest hospitals. It was announced that the health status of the injured is being closely monitored.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced that a detailed investigation into the incident has been launched and that necessary efforts are underway to clarify the cause of the accident.
