Patients and medical staff evacuated from Al-Quds Hospital

In a written statement, the Palestine Red Crescent Society stated that the Israeli army's ongoing bombardment in the vicinity, firing at those inside, the complete power outage, and the depletion of water and food supplies threatened the lives of everyone in the hospital.

The statement noted that due to all these reasons, treatment at Al-Quds Hospital had become impossible, and the wounded were transferred to hospitals in the south that are also suffering from shortages of medical supplies, medicine, and fuel. The following was recorded:

"It was a difficult and dangerous day. Today, we managed to evacuate the patients, their families, and medical teams who were trapped in Al-Quds Hospital due to the tragic situation the hospital faced. The evacuation came after a siege that lasted more than 10 days, during which medical and humanitarian aid supplies were prevented from reaching the hospital."

CLASHES BLOCKED THE CONVOY

A convoy had moved from the south of Gaza to the north yesterday, accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross, to evacuate the patients and medical staff at Al-Quds Hospital.

Due to the clashes in the region, the convoy was unable to enter the area to carry out the evacuation and returned to the south of Gaza.
