A senior Pentagon official, who requested anonymity, provided an assessment to reporters regarding the latest situation in Israel and Palestine.
Stating that the Biden administration continues to maintain contact with Israel and is working to identify the most urgent needs, the official said, "First and foremost, we are increasing our support for Israel's defense. This includes air defense systems and munitions."
The official noted that they are working to deliver the munitions Israel needs as soon as possible, emphasizing that planes carrying some of the materials requested by Israel have already departed.
