The New York Times (NYT) had claimed that the U.S. military had begun withdrawing hundreds of soldiers by closing 3 of its 8 military bases in Syria.
U.S. soldiers vacated 3 small military outposts yesterday located in the city center of Al-Hasakah and in the villages of Hadra and Euphrates, situated around the Conoco and Omar gas fields in Deir ez-Zor province, and withdrew to main bases.
